About the position
This position shall ensure guestrooms and public areas are clean, sanitary and well-maintained according to the hotel standards
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean guestrooms and bathrooms, including dusting, vaccuming, mopping and sanitizing surfaces.
- Strip dirty lines, replace with fresh lines and make beds according to brand standards
- Restock amenities such as soap, shampoo, towels, toilet paper and minibar items.
- Maintain cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, elevators and other shared hotel spaces
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items or broken equipment to management
- Respond to guests request for additional supplies or cleaning services courteously
- Maintain a secure room environment, handle lost- and found customer property according to policy and use cleaning chemicals safely
- Follows safety and sanitation policies
- Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Job requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry heavy loads such as mattresses, cleaning carts and linen; and walk/stand for long periods
- Ensures high-quality cleaning standards are met consistently
- Ability to clean a required number of rooms as per set target with schedule hours
- Strong communication skills and a friendly service-oriented attitude.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have;
- Previous experience in hospitality/cleaning roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
