Job Description

About the position

This position shall ensure guestrooms and public areas are clean, sanitary and well-maintained according to the hotel standards

Key Responsibilities

1. Thoroughly clean guestrooms and bathrooms, including dusting, vaccuming, mopping and sanitizing surfaces.
2. Strip dirty lines, replace with fresh lines and make beds according to brand standards
3. Restock amenities such as soap, shampoo, towels, toilet paper and minibar items.
4. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, elevators and other shared hotel spaces
5. Report maintenance issues, damaged items or broken equipment to management
6. Respond to guests request for additional supplies or cleaning services courteously
7. Maintain a secure room environment, handle lost- and found customer property according to policy and use cleaning chemicals safely
8. Follows safety and sanitation policies
9. Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
10. Performs additional duties as assigned

Job requirements

1. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry heavy loads such as mattresses, cleaning carts and linen; and walk/stand for long periods
2. Ensures high-quality cleaning standards are met consistently
3. Ability to clean a required number of rooms as per set target with schedule hours
4. Strong communication skills and a friendly service-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have;

1. Previous experience in hospitality/cleaning roles is preferred.
2. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
